VEHICLE DYNAMICS AND GPS MODULE

The AEM Vehicle Dynamics Module (VDM) is a compact unit that sends ground speed, heading, altitude, G-loads, roll, pitch and yaw signals. It’s an easy way to add speed and an odometer reading to EV vehicles, and it provides a ton of data for motorsports vehicles that can be used for improving vehicle performance.

The VDM is an AEMnet CANbus enabled device with an on-board 50Hz 3-axis accelerometer, 50 Hz 3-axis gyroscope and fast, highly accurate 20Hz GPS + GLONASS that provides pinpoint position accuracy. The VDM’s GPS + GLONASS delivers vehicle speed, position, heading, and altitude, enabling you to create track maps using AEMdata’s track mapping software, while the accelerometer and gyroscope provide critical data for chassis tuning thanks to their fast, 50Hz sampling rate. There has never been a more affordable way to capture highly accurate position data for track mapping and roll, pitch and yaw for evaluating chassis dynamics!
